All aboard! Students will love the boat ride on board our "Fossil Finder", a purpose built 7.5 metre shallow draw boat that departs from our Camp Illawonga. The Fossil Finder boat tour, explores the Murray River, before entering the Punyelroo Lagoon below the staggering cliffs.
The tour then travels to the Punyelroo Cave, where students enjoy a cave tour and learn about fossils and the history of the Murray River.
The Fossil Finder is a surveyed boat with licensed operators, has all the safety equipment and travels at a leisurely pace so everyone can soak in the Murray River, and enjoy the scenery, birdlife and views.
How it works
Students are fitted with PFD's, provided with a briefing and then board the boat. The tour incorporates the Punyelroo Cave tour.
