Beyond the Classroom own the "Mallee Explorer" cart at Camp Illawonga, a 1.5 hour drive from Adelaide, located on the Murray River at Swan Reach.
The Mallee Explorer is a custom built cart that takes students on a cart ride on private property. Camp Illawonga is a 1800 acre property, with old growth mallee and a private sculpture trail.
The Mallee Explorer is also available for Dark Sky tours, as our property is in the heart of the Dark Sky reserve. It is also used to transport students to our solo campsites, when they are on the Rite Journey solo night challenge.
How it works
The Mallee Explorer is towed by a 4WD vehicle, and is available as part of Beyond the Classroom's Camp Illawonga programs.
